"Is anything too hard for the Lord" (Genesis 18:14 NIV)?
I will be 60 very soon.
I looked back at my life, and I thought about two things.
First, I thought that everything that happened, good or bad, was part of my life.
If anything had lacked, I was not who I am now.
Second, in most of my life, I had been spending my time and energy to be somebody else.
Keiko Whitlock who people thought it was, is simply what I thought I had to be to gain social acceptance.
Now, I am the closest to who I truly am in my 60-year life.
Life is unpredictable, thus exciting.
Now I am studying very hard to be an attorney in America.
I know that there are a lot of good surprises awaiting me.
There is not anything too hard for the Lord.

ANY QUESTIONS?
Well,
as I posted last time, I started studying at CSN last fall, and I will finish
the Certificate in Bookkeeping this semester. In fact, my GDP, I mean my GPA
last semester was 3.94!! OMG!! I surprised myself, lol.
Then, I was invited to the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. I am so honored...
I will attend the commencement at the end of May, with this cap and gown with the regalia, medal, and extra tassels!! It will be my most supreme American experience since I immigrated here 5 years ago!! But, do I have to wait 3 more months??!! I can't wait!!
Anyway
I will still be at CSN even after the graduation and will enjoy the new student
union which has been under construction this whole time.
I
will major in Criminal Justice, then.
Oh, no! I haven't updated in more than 2 years!!
Probably the reason for that is because I quit the coordinator
of Japan class at OLLI.
Anyway, let me explain what happened
during these 2 years. I took licenses of timeshare salesperson and a notary
public, and I worked for Hilton for about 2 years.
Then I started studying at College of Southern Nevada (CSN).
First, my purpose for that is to get a certificate in Bookkeeping and get a
better job, but I realized that I was not as bad as I thought I would be at college in America. So, I have changed my mind, and decided to continue studying.
By the way, this young lady is not me, obviously. She is
Professor Jennifer Martinez, my teacher at my business class at CSN. She gave us an assignment of creating a blog, and this
is why I came back here again. She is not only a great professor, but also a
working mom and a CEO of her own business. She is really nice and cool. She is
kind of our role model. (Although she is much younger than me!!)
Oh, and this is a pen she gave everyone in the class. This
is to commemorate the 1st anniversary of her company, Consult HR Partners. Isn't it cool??!!
Anyway, now I have a crazy plan for the coming 10 years.
Actually that plan is really really crazy. I will talk about that on the next
blog probably in 2 or 3 days.
I attended "21th Century Global Nuclear Challenges this Wednesday.
as you know very well, Las Vegas has a china town on Spring Mountain.
Well, I have been busy in my private life, and I haven't updated this blog...
Actually Spring semester has already finished and Summer semester will begin next week!!
As you may know, this semester, I planned to coordinate a very sensational classes with emotionaly heated discussions!!
So, the title this semester is
"Prayer for the world peace; one summer in 1945"
Yes!! One summer in 1945, America dropped an atomic bomb to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan!!
According tho Wikipedia,
"The two bombings, which killed at least 129.000 people, remain the only use of nuclear weapons for warfare in history."
"the acute effects of the atomic bombings killed 90,000-146.000 people in Hiroshima and 39.000-80.000 people in Nagasaki, roughly half of the deths in each city occurred on the first day. During the following month, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness and malnutrition. In bothe cities, most of the dead were civilians"
Well, I know you might say that it was necessary to end the war, but why don't you just look at the same thing from Japanese side this summer?
Totally different thing things will emerge in your sight and mind.....
Coincidentaly, President Obama will visit Hiroshima next Friday for the first time as a sitting president of the United States!!
We will discuss whether President Obama should apologize or not in Hiroshima!!
Everybody, come along and let me hear your voice as American!!!
